~ Reservations can be made directly through our website or via phone any day. First-night deposit plus lodging tax is required to guarantee your reservation and will be charged at the time of booking. The balance will be charged to the credit card on file automatically on the day of arrival. For reservation made less than 7 days before arrival, the entire reservation amount will be charged. We do not accept any third-party gift certificates or gift cards.
~ Check-in time is between 3PM to 6PM; Check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in requests must be made in advance, are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. For late arrivals after 6PM, self-check-in arrangements must be made in advance. We are unable to accommodate check-ins after 6PM without prior arrangement.
~ Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly and leave us little time to refill the space you have left. For most reservations booked directly through our website or via phone, cancellation notice is required 7 days prior to arrival date. With this advance notice, we will refund your credit card deposit minus a $25 cancellation fee (to cover the credit card processing fees), per room reserved. Reservations canceled less than 7 days prior to your arrival date will be charged in full, unless the room(s) is re-booked by another party. We will make every effort to re-book your room(s) and will refund any room(s) we are able to re-book minus a $25 cancellation fee per room reserved. 30 days cancellation notice is required for certain holidays, special events (including individual room reservation for group events, weddings, reunions & retreats) and group reservations (2 or more rooms). There is an 24-hour grace period for all reservations made at least 72 hours in advance: reservation can be cancelled with no penalty during first 24 hours from making confirmed reservation.
We do not give refunds in the event of unforeseen changes to travel plans, personal sickness or injury, family emergencies, inclement weather or natural disasters; nor do we give refunds on unused meals, late arrivals or early departures. We highly encourage guests to consider purchasing trip insurance in the event an emergency arises that impedes your travel plans. All canceled reservations, regardless of notice or reason, will be charged a $25 minimum cancellation fee. Any changes in the reservation or cancellation must be made in writing (e-mail or certified letter) and must be confirmed by The Bidwell House in writing (e-mail). The reservation is not changed or canceled until this written notice is send by The Bidwell House.
If the reservation is made through a third-party website such as Booking.com, Expedia, BedandBreakfast.com, or Airbnb, cancellation policies may differ from our standard cancellation policies. Any reservation made on a third-party website must be canceled through the third-party website under their cancellation policy.
~ We suggest the Stover Cottage or Bidwell Suite for families with small children. If you are traveling with children under 10, please inquire at the time of reservation whether the accommodations available are suitable for families with children, to ensure we are able to meet your needs and those of the other guests. Please note that we cannot accommodate children under 10 in our standard rooms; booking room other than Stover Cottage or Bidwell Suite for family with children without consulting with the Inn might resolve in cancellation of your reservation with full payment required.
~ We wish to provide our guest with a clean and fresh environment. Those who smoke or vape must do so outside at designated area. A $250 cleaning fee plus any additional related cost will be charged for smoking or vaping indoors.
~ We're sorry; we cannot accommodate pets in our standard rooms. A $250 cleaning fee plus any additional related cost will be charged for pets in the room. One well behaved pet is allowed in Stover Cottage with $30/night fee and signed waiver on file.
~ The Bidwell House B&B Inn room rates: $155-$395 per night. 2-night minimum stay is required for summer weekends; 3-night minimum stay is required for certain holidays and special events. Seasonal rates may vary. All rates are based on double occupancy and include breakfast for two. Each additional person is $30. All rates are subject to applicable taxes. All rates are subject to change without notice.
Reservation total is based on the number of guests specified in the confirmation letter. Bringing additional guests may be possible with prior arrangements and approval. The total occupancy, including children, must not exceed the room’s maximum capacity.
~ Room rate includes a full breakfast served each morning between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.; use of the spacious indoor and outdoor common areas; free wireless Internet access and off-street parking. If you need to leave before breakfast is served, please let us at least 24 hours ahead and we will be happy to prepare a bagged breakfast to take with you.
